Brain, Mind & Memory:

A ‘Learning Machine'

'Window Two' into the Study Guide

This Brain, Mind & Memory approach to learning and memory owes more to modern physics than to traditional psychology.

It bypasses the orthodox way of understanding the brain as a physiological organ, and envisages it as an evolved organ that changes the nerve signals it receives from the rest of the body into  energy patterns. In turn these patterns are recorded and stored as memories in the consciousness field, which is a characteristic of total reality.

Because the patterns in the brain energy field and the patterns in the associated mind energy field are the same there is a resonant exchange of energy patterns, a recycling, and information & control passes backwards and  forwards  between brain and mind. They are two separate energy fields, existing independently, but interacting.

So, like the rest of nature, your Brain, Mind & Memory use energy and resonance to achieve their goals. The more effectively you understand and use these inbuilt gifts of nature, the better and faster you will learn and remember. The Study Guide (page 3) explains how it is possible to derive the rules of learning and memory from these two simple principles of energy & resonance.

There are two parts to Memory. The first is recording memories, the second is recalling memories. While you may be good at recording memories, you may be poor at recalling them - and this is the key function to learning - there's no point in recording if you can't recall. A lot of the control of memory is not in the brain, but in the subconscious mind. Much of the ability to remember is determined by the experiences and ideas you have programmed into your subconscious mind over the years, and  reinforced by your inner dialogue. It helps to keep reminding yourself - reprogramming your subconscious - that you have a good memory, and the ability to recall whatever you  want, when you need it.- and that this ability to recall is getting better and better every day. Using self-hypnosis is the quickest and surest way to do this - the Study Guide gives you the method.

Too much TV can impair your learning according to a recent report. The Cognitive Research Corporation says that a study over 19 years of a group of 700 families has shown that those who watched three hours or more of TV a day suffered long-term impairment to their learning ability and school performance. Parents need to monitor what and how much TV is watched.

8-minute Lessons: Recent work at a UK comprehensive school has shown that learning subjects in 8 minutes bursts interspersed with some other unrelated activity boosts learning by half a grade. The technique is based on neuroscience research which has found that memory develops most effectively with short bursts of learning repeated at intervals.
